New Adept School: Poemamancy

A school of magic, including the adept spells, based on the perception of Utopia in accordance to the player. The adept changes the world around them to make it better, in real time.

Poemamancer

Minor Blast Spell: You fell down…: Draw some injuries on your target. They’ll fall down a set of stairs in accordance to your dice roll.

Significant Blast Spell:…into a pit of angry snakes!

Random Magic Domain: Utopia in real time. Things are bad now, until you change them.

Paradox: By drawing the world as a fiction, it mends itself to become the truth.

Taboo: Sane people ignore the problems with the world around them. A poemamancer HAS to obsess over these problems, or they lose their charges. If you see a problem that you can affect, you have to help. Sane people don’t let the world get to them. You get to the world.

Starting Charges: 3 minor.

Generating Charges: Poemamancy is based on seeing utopia where utopia is not. Where other people see a slum, you see a palace. You have to paint, draw, sculpt, or make a representation of your vision of the world. By creating a fiction, the world becomes the truth.

Generate a minor charge: Spend at least 4 hours sketching, painting, or what have you a part of the world that needs improving.

Generate a significant charge: Join an organization or start one and make it work towards your vision. You have to have a hand in working on blueprints, schematics, or any other type of major plans. Some aspect of your work has to become part of the reality of the development. Joining a committee and signing the concept art is not enough. Joining a committee and making them use YOUR concept art is a step.

Generate a major charge: Have a direct hand in the improvement of something that affects either an entire city, an entire people, or an entire society. Spear-heading a movement against a wrong that has had no movement before, and succeeding, will generate a major charge.

Quick Sketch: 1 Minor Charge: You need something small: an eraser, a flower, a can of soda, and it isn’t where you are. Add something to your sketch, turn around, talk to someone, turn back and it’s there.

That’s Not Nice! : 3 Minor Charges: Someone is pointing a gun at a friend, or holding a knife. While you can’t make the gun disappear, you can make it into a gun that shoots out a flag named “BANG!”. That knife? Very comically (and quite utopian like) has become made of rubber.

Look Again: 2 Minor Charges: Do you need to look better for a short time? Make a self-portrait with some minor changes. You could add a few muscles, or maybe that beautiful long black hair. Each change costs charges, and they only last about four hours.

Quick Fix: 3 Minor Charges: You need to make a phone call, and the booth is dead. By sketching the fixed item, and yourself using it, after a bit of time you can try again and you’ll get the friendly dial-tone.

You Need a Change of Clothes: 4 Minor Charges: By sketching your target in a new set of clothes, their clothes will become what you drew. Being chased? Sketch on some big heavy boots. Need to distract someone? That bathing suit was a poor choice for New York City in January.

Needful Things: 1 Significant Charge: You need a big item: a gun, a med kit, a taxi. By adding that to the scene, one will show up quite conveniently.

Who Were You? : 3 Significant Charges: By drawing someone in a scene, and then either erasing everyone around them or by erasing their face, you make them unable to interact with everyone else. They’re simply not welcome in your utopia for a short time.

Erase Injuries: 3 Significant Charges: You’re hurt. Your buddy is dying. By drawing yourself and your buddy enjoying a tasty dinner a few hours from now, somehow it’ll be alright.

You Look Nice Tonight: 2 Significant Charges: By going all out on a portrait, you can completely change yourself over for a few hours. You cannot change your sex, but you could become quite buff and attractive.

Look: 2 Significant Charges: The problem with normal people is that they refuse to see reality how it is. They’re chained by the herd. By drawing their chains, by drawing that mugger, they get a first hand look at just how bad the city has become.

Things Sure Have Improved: 1 Major Charge: Draw, paint, or sculpt the area that you live in. Now, make it better.
