The ClockFace

is it a bird? is it a plane? NO it’s a PLOT DEVICE!!!

The Clockface is a large clock surrounded by endless white(it’s an otherspace)
It is made of seamless white marble inset with ebony markings in roman numerals
the hands are intricately

Below the clock (if your crazy enough to bend over the edge and look underneath it’s 3 inch thickness) is a mass of clock-working which gradually peters out with increased distance from the clock(think half a beetroot stuck to the bottom of a plate)

Players who fall or jump off the clock face appear in the real world as if they had left the clockface but with a feeling of unmitigated terror. Personally i’m inclined to say no checks so your players know you’re serious but checks in any and all notches are justified. Either way they remember nothing past falling off

Periodically visions of the past present and possible futures that affect those present appear around the clock e.g

you see yourself brushing your teeth next Tuesday

you see yourself get stabbed last week

today a man was killed in japan (meaning that he WON’T rant about the goodness of a book on the internet, people will buy the book, the author won’t lose his house and move onto the streets and beg your mother for food and she won’t complain to you over the phone about it… but you don’t know that)

Obviously visions of the future are fairly rare(or players would do little else but sit in it’s alluring fairy ring. Also visions don’t have to be of the future to be useful) but the more people present the more relevant visions MAY be e.g. if your entire cabal is watching the visions are likely to affect all of you rather than just being about your laundry being done last Friday

To get to the clockface draw a circle in the ground then close your eyes and mark the time in istanbul if magnetic north is the 12 mark. You appear in the centre after vanishing from the real world in a puff of smoke that smells like time. This doesn’t seem wierd
To leave the clock face stand on the center of the clock
