I just got the image of an American Soldier Cliomancer hogging the charges at some of the Iraq areas.
Well, req, that’s how the founder of Cliomancy got his start. Not hard to see someone imitating his success.

And in UA… christ. Haunted, cursed, bound for successful self-destruction, primed to be incredibly damaging to the US, made out of a symbol of our own resources turned against us…
Passenger planes caused the destruction of the Twin Towers. Innocent, surprisingly safe, non-military planes caused massive damage. It’s like they took that and decided to take a huge magnifying glass up to it.
Conversely, if properly contextualized, it could ALSO be used as a symbol of the United States’ ability to morph, adapt, and ultimately come out again in another functional form, if one much transformed from the original (such as the transformation from survivalist pioneers to widespread corporatism). Or how the US is capable of turning one type of strength (here represented by steel) to different uses. OR it could be used to symbolically transition the US from primarily economic pursuits to being primarily militaristic (possibly by emphasizing the transformation caused by the attack). OR it could be symbolically destroyed in an attempt to stop the war it represents (which might be seen as a newfound focus on war at the cost of economics).
To me it seems to be a symbol of revenge. The twin towers represents an injury to America. We’ve taken this injury and made a weapon out of it. If we had made a hospital or a bridge or something symbolic of healing or growth I’d be thrilled. But no, we built a symbol of violence, hatred and war.
