The Forbidden Fruit was meant to remain forbidden.
Somewhere, sitting on a shelf is an apple core. It’s petrified and some say that it is the actually fruit that caused the original say. I’m not a religious man. But, there are scary things that happen when someone touches this core.
I assumed the Fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was a fig. It says so in my family bible.
Not according to a cliomancer I talked with. 🙂
Some say it was a grape; grapes don’t normally grow on trees, I know, but even now people get rumors through the “grapevine.”
Adam and Eve were actually the first Ascended. They were also the first to get dropped out of the Invisible Clergy and get badly renounced.
Otherwise the graps could allude to Adam/Eve as Dionysius – progenitors not of humans, but progenitors of society. Their family and squabbles were a microcosmic plan of human society…

The Comte wouldn’t be Adam; in each reality, he’s the first child born of human parents, and Adam wasn’t born. The Comte would be Cain…
And Adam and Eve would have ascended as the Father and Mother.
The Garden of Eden was the Statosphere.
Gettign thrown out of Eden was when they were kicked out.
Perhaps Adam and Eve are famous for being the first Clergy to be booted from paradise…
The gate with the flaming-sword wielding angel was how they perceived Renunciation.
